SUBSIDISED PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICE: THE ROSE FUND

The Rose Fund has helped us set up a subsidised psychotherapy service for those who would otherwise be unable to access this kind of support and whose needs can’t be met by counselling or other provision available elsewhere.

Families are asked to contribute to the cost of psychotherapy and their capacity to do this is assessed using a means testing form before the initial consultation takes place.

At the initial consultation, parents come together with one of the clinical team, to ascertain the suitability of psychotherapy. At this point they may be signposted elsewhere, or they may progress to an assessment.

This service is very much appreciated by the families, and real and lasting changes take place.
